Late Elementary Activity

After reading and mapping out their ideas, students will be asked to create a chart of their own. In doing so, students will not only increase their knowledge of Chinese culture and education, but will have a more concrete understanding through the comparison with the United States and seeing it in comparison with their own personal life.
Fine Arts Activity
Great Wall of Friendship: Students will be introduced to the Great Wall of China before completing this activity. Students will draw and write about a best friend or family member on cards. They will then cut out the cards and wrap a mini cereal box in colored paper (or paint the box). They will then stick the cards to the box and the boxes will be used to build a "Great Wall of Friendship". (Great Wall of Friendship, activityvillage.co.uk, 2011)
